At H&R Block, the Senior Product Marketing Manager leads go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, and commercialization efforts for key Consumer Tax products, services, and experiences.
This role serves as the bridge between Product, Marketing, Finance and Analytics to ensure product innovations and features are successfully brought to market and effectively adopted by customers. The Senior Product Marketing Manager develops market-informed strategies that drive awareness, consideration, conversion, retention, and long-term customer value.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing Strategy - Consumer Tax, this role plays a critical part in translating business and product priorities into customer-centric marketing strategies that drive growth and strengthen H&R Block's competitive position.
Day to day you'll…
- Lead go-to-market strategy and planning for Consumer Tax products, services, experiences, and key business initiatives
- Develop product positioning, value propositions, customer messaging frameworks, and market narratives that clearly communicate customer benefits and business value
- Partner with Product Management teams to understand product roadmaps, customer needs, and business priorities and translate them into effective marketing strategies
- Create integrated launch plans that align Marketing, Product, Operations, Retail, Franchise, and Customer Experience stakeholders around successful market introductions
- Develop creative briefs that guide campaign development and ensure marketing executions effectively communicate product value and customer benefits
- Partner with Creative, Channel Marketing, CRM, Paid Media, and Content teams to ensure go-to-market strategies are activated consistently across customer touchpoints
- Conduct customer, market, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, inform positioning strategies, and improve product adoption
- Define target audiences, customer segments, and market opportunities in partnership with Analytics and Audience Strategy teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop marketing plans that support product launches, feature releases, seasonal initiatives, and business priorities
- Monitor product performance, customer behavior, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and recommend strategic adjustments
- Measure and evaluate launch effectiveness, adoption metrics, and marketing performance to drive continuous optimization
- Present recommendations, business cases, launch strategies, and performance results to senior leadership and cross-functional partners
- Support annual planning efforts by identifying growth opportunities, customer needs, competitive threats, and product marketing priorities
